It's good news for KFC fans as restaurants continue to re-open across Preston.
A spokesman for the fast food chain has confirmed that its restaurants at the Docks, on Fishergate and at Deepdale are all opening today with the KFC at Lostock Hall expected to open later on this evening.
But customers are being warned that the restaurants are operating with a limited menu and that not all items will be available.
A KFC spokesperson said: “We anticipate the number of closures will reduce today and over the coming days as our teams work flat out all hours to clear the backlog.
"Each day more deliveries are being made, however, we expect the disruption to some restaurants to continue over the remainder of the week, meaning some will be closed and others operating with a reduced menu or shortened hours.
"Fans can check our website – www.kfc.co.uk/crossed-the-road – to find out where their nearest open restaurant is.”
The news comes as KFC announced it had been forced to close a raft of stores after a new delivery contract with DHL resulted in chicken shortages across the country.
The company said that of those outlets that were still open, many were offering a limited menu or had cut their hours.
KFC was previously a client of Bidvest Logistics but has since swapped contract to enlist DHL for food deliveries. The chicken chain gave a "shout out" to its restaurant teams, who the company said were "working flat out to get us back up and running again".
