Fresh from announcing that their multi-million pound city centre hotel will be named after North End and Liverpool legend Bill Shankly, developers Signature Living are looking for some help for their next decision.
The name for the hotel’s “stunning” restaurant is up for grabs and the firm is asking for suggestions.
And a prize has been promised for the winning entry.
Bosses tweeted this week: “Our hotel with have a stunning restaurant like the Bastion at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool.
“We want the people of Preston to pick a name with a nod to Shankly’s Preston history; with an amazing prize for the winner.”
Dozens of suggestions have already flooded in, ranging from referencing the Scotsman’s number of appearances or goals in a PNE shirt or the year he made his debut at Deepdale.
Signature Living unveiled earlier this month the name of the highly-anticipated development - previously known as the Harris Hotel - that is set to open in September.
Bill Shankly’s grandson and Shankly Hotel co-owner and director, Chris Carline said: “It is a fitting tribute and legacy to my grandfather for a hotel to be named in his honour in Liverpool, but it is also important for his legacy to be honoured in Preston where he spent much of his playing career.
“He had some amazing footballing highlights and achievements at Preston and made some incredible friends including Tom Finney who my grandfather said was ‘the greatest player he ever saw.’”
