Chorley-based automotive business, Weldbank Garage, has won ‘Large Garage of the Year’ at the Car and Accessory Trader (CAT) magazine 2016 awards.
Held at Twickenham Stadium, Weldbank was up against five other garages in a highly competitive category but thanks to its voters, it was able to take home the highly respected, industry award.
After encouraging Lancashire motorists to get behind the independent garage, the local community responded, helping secure the win for Weldbank by voting via CAT magazine’s online form.
The family run business, which is in Saville Street, Chorley, was one of the first in the UK to offer local motorists the benefits of a TerraClean service.
The deep vehicle engine clean reduces emissions and miles per gallon, as well as improving performance and fuel economy.
Weldbank Garage proprietor, Tony Waring, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who got behind us and helped to bring this prestigious award back to Lancashire.
“We’re delighted to receive such highly sought recognition within the industry; the acknowledgement is a reflection of the team’s hard work and commitment to the local community and we will continue to listen to motorists to ensure we can keep meeting and surpassing customer expectations.”
