It’s a beer lover’s dream – a real ale pub for sale for less than the price of a flash car.
The award-winning Ale Emporium, in the university quarter of Preston, has been put on the market with an asking price of just £54,950.
The bar, which attracts ale fans from far and wide to the city centre with its range of up to 10 beers at a time, was voted Pub of the Year by the Central Lancashire branch of CAMRA in 2015. It is also a former Post Pub of the Year.
Just off Fylde Road, opposite the UCLan Student Union building, the Ale Emporium is described on Rightmove as “busy with huge customer potential.”
It is also said to be a “great investment,” in a “fantastic location” and, at less than £55,000, offers “outstanding value.”
“The bar serves real ale to the growing number of people who love the drink and does very well out of it,” says the sales blurb.
With a turnover of £211,000, the bar is leasehold.
