A Preston-based electrical contractor has got the year off to a flying start.
Lantei Compliance Services landed three large housing association projects in January.
At the end of the first month, Lantei’s development team has landed orders that equate to three quarters of last year’s complete turnover.
The firm has signed contracts worth around £750,000, all to be carried out in this financial year.
What makes this more impressive, is that the highest value project – to Shoreline housing in Grimbsy – was won not on price but on quality.
Other contracts with Hyndburn Council’s housing portfolio and North West-based Arcon Housing will create an additional eight jobs.
Director Anthony Smith said: “All projects are to supply fixed wires electrical testing services and all associated rectification work.
“This is a massive boost for Lantei who have, in their first five months of this years financial trading, exceeded last year’s turnover by over £250,000 and are well on their way to breaking their £2,000,000 milestone target.”
Last year Lantei triumphed at the Electrical Contractors Association gala dinner and awards in Birmingham.
The firm was crowned Small Contractor of the Year, which is awarded to a contractor with a turnover of less than £5m who shows exceptional growth and development within the industry.
Established in 2010, Lantei, has grown to become one of the UK’s main provider of specialist electrical and work place testing services with offices in Preston, Newcastle and London.
Without loans, external finance or any debt, the business has seen tremendous success, culminating in being awarded the silver award from Investors in People last May.
Anthony Smith set up Lantei after working as a high end electrical testing consultant for a number of years.
