After sparking safety concerns of queuing traffic backing up onto the M6, organisers of The Crafty Vintage fair are planning to provide park and ride transportation when it returns to Brockholes Nature
Last weekend thousands of families descended on the nature reserve with the car park rapidly reaching capacity on all three days.
Many motorists faced being turned away by stewards or faced a lengthy wait.
As well as encouraging people to arrive earlier next year, bosses at Crafty Vintage hope to make more use of the Guild Wheel cycle route and are currently in negotiations with several local sponsors to a provide a fleet of vintage buses from Preston, Blackburn and Lancaster to ferry people to and from the festival.
The fair includes music, magic, cocktails, hand made goods and vintage collectables.
