AN awards event recognising women in business across Lancashire and beyond is back.

The Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs) is now in its fourth year and has already recognised many businesses from Preston who have scooped the coveted awards.

Last year more than 1,000 women entered the awards and organisers hope to beat that this year.

Organisers will host an event for people to find out more about the awards tomorrow at Preston’s College from 1pm until 3pm.

The event, which is free of charge to attend will offer those interested in entering an opportunity to find out more about the categories and their criteria plus the nomination, entry and judging process.

Building year on year, 2014 sees the introduction of two new award categories; Hospitality Industry and Online Business.

Founder of the EVAs, Coral Horn said: “We are really excited about this year’s awards and are looking forward to welcoming even more entries than ever before.

“However we realise that entering awards can be an exciting, yet daunting step for some, so with this event, we hope that we can answer everybody’s burning questions and get them feeling confident to make that entry or nomination which could of course lead to a business-changing award win.”

At tomorrow’s event guests will also be treated to a goody bag, complimentary refreshments and a prize draw plus there will ample opportunity to network with other like-minded business women.
