After a year of working on site at High Wood in Lancaster, these aerial images show the progress made on Story Homes’ development of executive homes.

The photos show the first phase of houses, many of which are now completed and occupied.

Just eight months on from the sales launch of High Wood, 37 properties have been purchased.

The High Wood development will see 197 new homes built on the land surrounding the former Lancaster Moor hospital building.

Working closely with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the scheme has also helped to provide funding to redevelop the hospital building into apartments.

One of the first residents at High Wood, Jonathan Smith, said: “High Wood is what Lancaster has needed for years; an executive development in tranquil surroundings, appealing to young and old alike. We are really impressed with the Story product as the houses are stunning yet sensibly priced.

“We absolutely love the quality and finish of our new home and the rooms are fantastically spacious, light and airy. We think that the company and the development is very family friendly.

“We really are impressed and look forward to making High Wood our family home for decades to come.”
