Derian House Children’s Hospice is to benefit from a £10,000 donation from a kind-hearted building company.
Local employees at the Murphy Group chose the Chorley-based hospice as their charity of the year and organised a series of fundraising events. They raised £5,000, which the company doubled.
John B. Murphy, Murphy managing director for the north, said: “We’re very proud that our team raised such a huge amount and we were only too pleased to match fund it. Each year we choose a different local charity to support and this year we chose Derian House because of the invaluable service they provide to children and their families.”
Susie Poppitt of Derian House said: “We’re overwhelmed with this incredible donation and can’t thank everyone at Murphy Group enough. They went over and above for Derian and their generosity and dedication is very much appreciated.”
