When Tiphanie Le-Moine spotted Michael Parry across a crowded dancefloor, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

During a night out at Brown’s Nightclub in Preston in December 2007, Tiphanie and Michael were enjoying their night out independently with friends.

“I saw Michael and my best friends, Charlotte and Naomi, encouraged me to go over,” says Tiphanie, a retail store manager for Topshop and Topman from Blackburn, “the rest is history!”

Five years later and during a family holiday in
Cyprus, Michael, a painter and
decorator from Preston, took the plunge.

“We all chose to go to
Cyprus together with Michael’s family,” says
Tiphanie, “as a lot of my family live over there too.

“Michael chose the perfect opportunity to propose
during a meal when everyone was together.

“It took me by complete surprise.”

On July 18, Tiphanie, dressed in a gown from the Vintage Wedding Dress
Company, and Michael were married at All Hallow’s Church, Mitton, near Whalley.

And the newlyweds
celebrated with their friends and family with a reception at Mitton Hall.

“The wedding had a true vintage feel,” says Tiphanie, “we handmade a lot of things with help from a close friend, Vicky Keighly.

“After months of planning the day turned out perfectly.

For their first dance as husband and wife, Tiphanie and Michael took to the floor to You Took My Heart by
Pepper and The Piano.

And as they welcomed guests into the evening,
local band Sydney Gumboots
provided the entertainment.

“We had family and friends travel from Washington,
Texas and Cyprus which made it a one-off opportunity to have everyone together in the same place.

“Just to share the day with our families and closest friends is something we’ll treasure forever.”
