Bollywood musical Taj Express announces dates for Preston's Charter Theatre

Secrets to the world's most prolific film industry are revealled in a Bollywood musical coming to Preston.

Taj Express, will be fresh from its sell-out season in London, before it stops in the city as part of its nation-wide tour.

With fresh choreography and dazzling costumes, Taj Express is the story of young composer Shankar and his struggles with his music. It’s only when he begins to follow in the footsteps of his idol, A.R. Rahman that he discovers his path to success.

A spokesman for the show said: “Rhythmically blending explosive dance with the hits of India’s most iconic composers, A.R. Rahman, Taj Express is brought to life by the stars of Bollywood cinema and its greatest musicians live on stage.”

It is choreographed by Vaibhavi and Shruti Merchant behind the acclaimed The Merchants of Bollywood.

Taj Express comes to The Charter Theatre for two days only on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29.
