Body found on marshland
The body of a missing woman has been found near the River Ribble in Penwortham.
Police were called to marshland in Holme Road shortly after noon on Friday by a member of public who had found the body of a woman.
A force spokesman said: “Identification has now been carried out and the body has been confirmed as that of Jeanette Roche. There are no suspicious circumstances.”
Miss Roche, 47, was last seen at her home address in Bamber Bridge at around 4.15pm on Monday, June 27.
Her family have been made aware of developments.
