Visually impaired youngsters from Lancashire were among 100 children who enjoyed a backstage tour of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Playhouse Theatre in Liverpool.

Organised by Action for Blind People, the event allowed the children to meet the cast before the show and were invited on stage for a touch tour and the chance to handle the props used in the rock ‘n’ roll pantomime.

Action for Blind People organises activities and events, including Actionnaires clubs, giving children with sight loss opportunities to take part in social activities, while encouraging friends and families to get involved.

Janet Beale, from Action for Blind People, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Playhouse Theatre and everyone involved.”
