Blackpool drama after '2 in sea' alert
Lifeboat crews were scrambled to Blackpool seafront early today after reports of two people in the sea.
It was reported that one casualty had been helped to safety by a passer-by but an extensive search was carried out to try to establish if a second person was in difficulty.
Nothing further was found and the crews were stood down.
