A JOBS and careers event will give young people aged 16 to 19 the chance to secure work, gain more qualifications or further their education.

The event will take place at The Zone on Lord Street, Chorley, from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow.

We hold these events to help and encourage young people

Colleges and training providers will be on hand with advice, and jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships and training opportunities will be available for young people to find out about on the night.

County Coun Matthew Tomlinson, cabinet member for children, young people and schools at Lancashire County Council, which is organising the event, said: “We hold these events to help and encourage young people to gain further qualifications and get a job or an apprenticeship. Any young person going along to them will get impartial information, advice and guidance.”

Free refreshments will be provided for young people and their parents.
