Add your bit to the city's heritage trail – and tale

Preston is the inspiration for a booming art project set to put the city on the creative map.

The Preston Is My Paris project was set up seven months ago by UCLan photography lecturer Adam Murray and fine art graduate Robert Parkinson, to document and explore the city's history.

Residents got involved, contributing photographs, poetry and other objects relating to the city's heritage.

This month Adam, together with a group of second-year photography students, is setting up a gallery in an empty shop unit in the Guildhall Arcade.

Visitors will be able to have their portraits taken and become part of the exhibition.

The Preston is My Paris Art Collective has taken over unit 15 of the Guildhall Arcade until the end of February.

The space will be open Thursday to Monday, 11am-5pm.
