To mark the occasion, Phyllis, of Leyland, (pictured left) enjoyed a party at Farington Lodge with friends and relatives.
The mother-of-one, who was married to Robert Wallbank, has five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She worked at RoS as a civil servant.
Rhoda, a mother-of-two with two grandchildren, was a school dinner lady, and now lives in Euxton. She is looking forward to her milestone birthday in the summer and can’t wait to celebrate with Phyllis again.
Phyllis’ granddaughter, Karen Wallbank, said: “I am delighted my gran has reached 100. It is a big achievement. All our family came to a big party at Farington Lodge, which she enjoyed very much.
“With all the things the family has gone through, she has coped really well.
“A lot of people in Leyland know Phyllis and ask after her. They can’t believe she is 100. She is walking around and doing things but I do take care of her quite a bit. She has a dog, Bruce, who she adores.
“Rhoda is independent and enjoys going to bingo. She sees Phyllis quite often, which is really nice. They are the only two left out of 11 siblings.”
