They joined the Great Plastic Pick Up national event which is encouraging residents to join together to clean up the rubbish in their community. Using litter-pickers and gloves, 35 Beaver Scouts and leaders cleaned the park area around Birch Avenue, Penwortham, and collected 20 sacks of rubbish. The group has also adopted a plastic woggle amnesty, swapping plastic woggles for an eco-friendly leather version.
