The boss of one of the region’s housebuilders has congratulated his team as the company announces outstanding performance for 2017.
Chris Kershaw, director in charge of Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said staff helped to deliver 573 new homes across Lancashire and Cumbria in 2017.
Mr Kershaw said: “The last 12 months have been excellent for the business.
“The results are a total team effort and we were delighted to deliver hundreds of vital new homes across the region.

“New developments were opened at Lancaster, Buckshaw Village, Workington and Carlisle. We are set to be even busier with new sites planned to launch in Poulton le Fylde and Oswaldtwistle.”
Persimmons’ Healthy Communities scheme saw £6,000 donated to local clubs and individuals providing sporting activities for young people.
And its Community Champions fund has awarded grants totalling £22,694 to charities and organisations helping to improve the lives of local people.
