A pub is set to re-open after two years with a new name and a brand new look.

The Study Room, formerly the Nags Head, in Church Street, Lancaster will open its doors next Friday, April 25 after a major joint investment of £450,000 between Punch Taverns and Mick Horan, managing director of Strawberry Enterprise Ltd.

Twenty new jobs have been created after the owners completely stripped out the premises and created a contemporary bar with a relaxed feel.

Punch Taverns’ partnership development manager Andrew Stones said: “Previously, the pub was closed for almost two years and it’s great that Punch can invest in the venue and work in partnership with Mick Horan to bring it back to life.”

Mick added: “The bar looks fantastic and I can’t believe the transformation. We’ve really created a welcoming and relaxing environment.”
