JEWELLERY worth £4,000 was stolen from a house in Fulwood, Preston.

Items of jewellery taken include a diamond engagement ring, gold wedding band, ladies gold wristwatch, a hand crafted North American wooden pendant and a silver pendant were stolen from the house in Abbot Croft.

It is believed that someone broke into the house by smashing a window and took the jewellery and a black Sony Vaio laptop before making off from the property through a neighbouring garden.

PC Michael Rhodes of Preston Police said: “We are keen to speak to anyone that might have information about this burglary and if anyone knows where the jewellery now is please get in touch as it has great sentimental value to the victim who is keen to get the items back.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
