13 is unlucky for serial Preston shoplifter

A serial perfume shoplifter who struck 13 times at Boots in Preston in the same month has been jailed for 12 weeks.

Mohammed Shakil Aziz, of Meadow Court, Deepdale, Preston, admitted 13 counts of theft at Preston Magistrates’ Court, stealing fragrances sets worth around £1,000.

The bench ruled the 35-year-old must pay £400 compensation to the store on Fishergate, Preston.

His loot ranged from Marc Jacobs sets to Hugo Boss and Paco Rabanne gift sets, the court was told.

Jailing him, the bench said it was aggravated by his record of previous offending.
