YOUR WEDDING: Esther Walmsley and Nathan Newman

They were married at St Peter’s Church in Heysham before a reception at Garstang Country Hotel.

It was a whirlwind romance for the couple who met online and enjoyed their first date in Lancaster at Bella Italia.

They became engaged 
six months later on December 12, 2016, while on holiday in Venice.

And they were married exactly one year to the day of their first date.

Esther, 29, a paediatric nurse said: “Our wedding day was just perfect.

“After a week of rain it was actually sunny for most of the day.

“I was so excited walking down the aisle, and the look on Nathan’s face as I walked towards him summed up my feelings, I found it so hard to hold back the tears.

“The whole wedding was amazing, after months of planning... to see everything work perfectly and our friends appreciate it was amazing.

“The speeches were a mix of emotional and funny, bringing some of our guests to tears.

“And the best man’s speech particularly was absolutely hilarious.”

That best man was 
Martin Doran while Kristin Burt was the chief bridesmaid and aided by bridesmaids Grace Evans and Lydia Walmsley.

Flower girls were Faith and Hope Evans and the pageboy was Loki-Jaxx Newman.

Nathan is the son of John Les Newman and Jeanette Newman and Esther is the daughter of Andrew and Gillian Walmsley.

Nathan, 32, who is an electrical design engineer from Skelmersdale added: “It was such a beautiful day celebrating with our friends and family, everything came together so perfectly.

“It turned out to be much, much better than I had dare imagine.”

The couple honeymooned in Croatia and now live in Warrington.
