Newlyweds Adam and Anya enjoy their picture perfect wedding day.
Shaw Hill Golf Club was the setting for the beautiful wedding of Anya Greenhalgh and Adam Bolton.
The happy couple, who live in Farington, said ‘I do’ on April 30 at what they described as a magical day.
After meeting at Runshaw College in 2006, Anya and Adam’s friendship soon blossomed in to love, and Adam proposed seven years later.
As the last firework went off on November 5 2013, Adam, 28, got down on knee in front of Anya’s family and proposed.
Their 18-month-old son Finley was a page boy, as Anya, a 26-year-old beauty therapist, walked down the aisle in a custom designed dress by Mellisa M. All the suits came from John Francis Suit Hire.
Surrounded by their family and friends, the couple enjoyed a ceremony by candlelight and the room was filled with gypsophilia. At the wedding breakfast there was a harpist playing their favourite songs. The lovely speeches had everyone crying, especially that of Anya’s father, Shaun.
Adam, a data collector at United Utilities, took his first dance with Anya to the romantic tune of Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran, with a dry ice machine on the dance floor. The father-daughter dance to Daddy Dance With Me by Krystal Keith had everyone in tears once again.
The cake came from Victoria Cakes of Leyland and the beautiful flowers were put together by The Gilded Lily in Chorley. A photobooth kept guests entertained all night. Adam said: “It was the most nerve wrecking but exciting day, Anya looked stunning”.
The couple took their honeymoon back in May with a trip to Edinburgh but will be taking a ‘familymoon’ to Les Arcs ski resort, France in January with their son.
Reflecting back, Anya said: “I had the most perfect day, I wish I could do it all over again.”
Anya’s late grandad Norman Wiggins was a photographer for the Evening Post and she recalled how he was always finding excuses to put her picture in the paper.
“He would have been so chuffed knowing my wedding was being published,” she added.
