Grand proposal lead to magical day

The couple, who live in Tarleton met through friends when they were younger and then reunited years later when Dean contacted Steph.

A proposal came during a city break to Monaco to watch the Grand Prix with family and friends.

They were getting ready to go out when Dean proposed in the hotel, it was a complete surprise.

That set the ball rolling for exciting preparations leading up to their wedding day on May 26.

Steph 26, a registered nurse said: “On the way to Lancashire Manor, where we held our reception, the driver Steve stopped at the canal locks for some outside pictures, the weather was stunning.

“The ceremony was magical with all our close family and friends with us. The speeches were memorable, emotional, heart-warming, personal and very funny.”

Best man Martin played a game of Mr and Mrs and their first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. At the end of the evening, Dean asked for a midnight request for George Ezra’s Hold My Girl to be played.

Steph said; “Our wedding day was everything I had ever dreamed of , marrying my best friend in the presence of our families and friends. It was such a magical day from start to finish, with memories I will treasure forever “

Dean, 29, an NVQ assessor in engineering added: “What a brilliant day with all our family and friends, who made me and my wife feel so special on the most amazing day I have ever had in my entire life.

“I love you more and more Steph every single day and our wedding day was a day I will always remember” They honeymooned in St Lucia.
