Big day inspires business plan

College sweethearts Tom Bradbury and Kayleigh Innes tied the knot at Eaves Hall in an emotional ceremony.

The Leyland couple met at Runshaw College when they were just 17 years old.Romance blossomed and they became engaged on a return visit to Mexico in 2017.Kayleigh, a legal assistant said: “After a meal, he suggested we took a walk on the beach and we walked to the end of a lagoon with fairy lights all around.“ Before I knew it, he was on one knee in the sand, asking me to marry him.“I actually didn’t say ‘yes’ straight away and instead began to cry while repeatedly asking if he was joking.“The ring was perfect and one that I had unknowingly pointed out to him months and months before when he seemed so uninterested in rings.“We celebrated with lots of champagne on the beach.”

Kayleigh and Tom spents hours and hours using their creative skills to make everything they possibly could for their big day.They made a circle arch, the invitations, favours and even a donut wall.“I loved every minute of it,” said Kayleigh. “However, my only Bridezilla moment came the day before the wedding when the bride and groom who were getting married the day after us started to set up their wedding décor and were moving ours out of the way.“I was not pleased and needed a glass of Prosecco.

“The day itself was absolutely perfect and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house .“The emotion of the day hit everyone and my little sisters who were my bridesmaids couldn’t finish their reading for crying so much and the registrar had to step in and help. “As we had so so many comments on the props and styling of our wedding we have set up a business to help other Lancashire brides called Keeping Things Beautiful. It’s still early days but we’re getting so many enquiries daily so I get to continue my love of wedding DIY.”The couple honeymooned in Bali.
