Flip Out, which opened in August 2016, has unveiled two extra attractions in time for Christmas.

The venue, in Mercer Street, off New Hall Lane, has added an inflatable assault course and a huge drop slide to give customers more to choose from on their visits to the converted industrial unit.

The two additions were opened to the public at the weekend and are already proving popular. “We’re not just a trampoline park any more,” said a spokesperson. “Our brand new giant inflatable has arrived, just in time for Christmas.”

Flip Out already boasts more than 60 trampolines, an exclusive area for Under-7s, a soft play zone, a balance beam, a huge airbag, stepping stones, interactive games and a large mezzanine cafe area for spectators.

The attraction is part of the Flip Out group which describes itself as the fastest growing trampoline park chain in the world.

Launched in Australia in 2012, the company now boasts 78 trampoline parks over seven countries, including 21 in the UK.

Preston became the 55th park when it opened just over two years ago in what was a warehouse unit in Fishwick Park - around 400 metres from a similar venture called Energi on the Queens Retail Park just across London Road.

“Competition is healthy,” said director John Inwards. “We feel our brand is strong enough to open next to any trampoline park and be successful.”
