Junior team are looking at home in smart new kit

The Under-10s team from Astley and Buckshaw Junior Football Club are now sporting a new kit after housebuilder Miller Homes become their latest sponsor.

Astley and Buckshaw were looking to update their football kit, and Miller Homes are always looking for opportunities to support the diverse range of community groups surrounding their

developments.

With the club just a short distance away from their Parklands View development on Southport Road, Miller Homes welcomed the chance to sponsor the club’s new kits.

The club was established in 2004 following a Football Foundation grant, applied for by a residents group in Astley Village.

Today the club gives the opportunity to more than 250 children to play football across 19 teams and 10 age groups.

Linda Matura, sales manager for Miller Homes North West, said: “We’re delighted to see how Astley and Buckshaw’s new football kit turned out.

“I hope they get an extra spring in their step when they’re next on the pitch.

“As always, we remain committed to getting involved with the community, showing our support for young people in sport by sponsoring teams and clubs.”

“The team are so happy with it.”
