Interactive Wizard of Oz comes to Preston

Children can head over the rainbow when the Wizard of Oz comes to Preston in an outdoor theatre production.

Events Live is bringing a magical interactive children’s outdoor theatre experience to Preston’s Winckley Square Gardens, on Saturday July 8 and Sunday July 9 July.

In partnership with Preston BID and Preston City Council, this is the first family show to be put on in the renovated square.

A spokesman for the event said: “Children will become part of the show and lead with the characters to each scene as they involve them in every step of the way.

“The performance moves around the gardens. Bring your own rugs and low back seating.

“The park is closed off for this event and gates/exits will be manned.

“Food and refreshments are available or bring a picnic to enjoy with family and friends in the picturesque surroundings before the show.”
