Every Dog has its Day at 53

The fast rising quintet of 21 year olds are currently on their biggest headline tour ever in the UK, celebrating the release of their debut album, All Our Favourite Stories, at the end of last year.

The tour was originally scheduled for February and March, but fell a victim to the band’s success when they were snapped up to support the massive Two Door Cinema Club on their European tour.

All Our Favourite Stories won glowing reviews, including from The Guardian, who awarded it five stars and described it as: ‘solid gold indie pop songs ornamented with real precision and flair’ and the Daily Telegraph, who gave it 8/10 and praised the band’s ‘glistening harmonies, neat rhythmic shifts and sudden blasts of shimmering guitars.’

This week, they played a triumphant sold out show at London’s Koko to 1400 fans and they end on May 3 with a homecoming gig at Nottingham’s Rock City, where they once were part of the crowd.

A band spokesman said: “This tour was due to take place in February but then they got offered the support to Two Door Cinema Club. It’s been a great year for them. A lot of the dates are already sold out.”
