Cinema Around the Corner

Cinema around the Corner is a BFI funded, They Eat Culture project which focuses on bringing film to communities in Preston.

Held regularly at The Continental on South Meadow Lane in Preston, this week’s offering is Bait - the story of Martin Ward, a cove fisherman without a boat, displaced to the estate above the picturesque harbour.

As visually distinctive as it is narratively satisfying, it blends a classic aesthetic with timely themes to produce a thrillingly original and uniquely enriching drama.

Skylarks Choir

Warm up your vocal chords and join Skylarks for a sing tonight at Bamber Bridge Methodist Church, on Station Road. Singing is from 7pm-8pm but everyone, including new members, is welcome from 6.45pm for a cuppa. Each session costs £4.
