Special guests British super lightweight champion Jack Catterall, MP Sir Lindsay Hoyle and rugby star Josh Charnley were on hand to help celebrations go off with a bang.

A spokesman said: “Our official opening Day was absolutely buzzing with young people and their families enjoying our facilities - from indoor climbing, sports, dance, gym & much more.

“With over 1,700 young people now registered as members, we’re ready to inspire young people to lead healthier, happier, more aspirational lives while providing them with somewhere safe to go, something fun to do and someone to talk to seven days a week.”
