FREE: Family Planting Workshop, Blackpool, Saturday, February 25

With spring just around the corner, the team at B&Q Blackpool on Whitehills Retail Park, Preston New Road, want to encourage families to get outdoors and enjoy gardening. The store will be hosting a family fun day featuring a planting workshop where you can have a go at being green fingered and learn all about how to grow your own food and flowers. FREE: Tribe Hot Yoga, Preston, Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26

Tribe Hot Yoga, based at Liverpool Road, Penwortham, are hosting free classes to celebrate their grand opening. Try Tribe Flow at 10am (suitable for students with previous Yoga experience), Tribe 60 at 12pm (suitable for all levels) and on Sunday Tribe 60 12pm and Tribe Flow 2pm. This night at The Centre @ Halton in Lancaster will be hosted by well-known entertainer and compere Kyle Oram. There will be games for the whole family, snacks, a disco and a bar. Blackburn Music Society are presenting this day - Exploring Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gernotius from 9.30am until 3.30pm. It’s a singing day and workshop led by Paul Spicer at Croston Theatre, Westholme School. Tickets are £15 for Blackburn Music Society members and £18 for non-members. This includes the hire of music. There will be six Heritage Trams in operation with tours between Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Bispham every 15 minutes and six tours to Cleveleys and Fleetwood each day. Heritage Day tickets are £11 for adults; £6 for children; £25 for a family ticket. These tickets include unlimited tours all day plus modern tram and bus services too. A circular walk around Memorial Park and the local area. These regular walks are designed to help you get fit, stay fit and keep healthy. This walk is classed as easy (relatively level ground, fields, lanes/tracks, possibly with gentle slopes, stiles or livestock). Meet at the park on Warrenhurst Road for a 10.30am start. This event is brought to you in partnership with British Orienteering, and Xplorer is the perfect outdoor activity to get the whole family outside in the fresh air. There’s no need to book, just pick up your map pack from the Welcome Centre located on the floating Visitor Village from 10am until noon and from 1pm until 3pm. Map packs are £3 each. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You should also wear suitable clothing for the weather and sturdy footwear.

Two attractions in Carnforth have teamed up to bring a new opportunity to visitors. Arriving at the Carnforth Station Heritage Centre there’s a chance to take in everything this venue has to offer. Then it’s back on the coach and off to Leighton Hall where afternoon tea, guided house tours and more awaits. Available to pre-booked groups of 25 or more.

There will be around 30 stalls of tasty artisan foods and locally produced crafts, all housed in the beautiful country park setting of Cuerden Valley Park. Facilities include free parking, hot food and drinks and easy access. Dogs are also welcome. Admission is by donation to Cuerden Valley Park Trust. The farmer’s market and craft stalls can be found in and around The Barn on Berkeley Drive in Bamber Bridge. It runs from 10am until 2pm.

Preston Golf Club is the venue for a Wedding Fayre. This is the perfect event to gather ideas for your upcoming nuptials. Admission is free and there is free parking available, plus free bridal magazines and free goody bags on the day. It runs from 12pm until 3pm.
