Lancashire Comic Relief: children don crazy hair and costumes for 'Red Nose Day'

Lancashire children went to school in crazy outfits this week and styled their hair in wacky ways to raise money for Comic Relief or 'Red Nose Day'.

Some fantastic costumes and hair-dos are on show as schools 'get funny for money' for Comic Relief.

Founded in 1985 by comedian Lenny Henry and scriptwriter Richard Curtis, Comic Relief aimed to raise money for those suffering from famine in Ethiopia.

Affectionately known as 'Red Nose Day' thanks to the shiny, red noses donned by old and young alike, the fundraiser has become a regular event.

A total of £63,548,668 was raised during Comic Relief 2019.
