The RSPB want your old photographs to fightback against dwindling puffin numbers

Lancashire residents are being urged to help save the much-loved puffin - by going through their old photographs.

The RSPB is calling on the public to find old snaps of the birds to fightback against the numbers of Puffins dwindling.

The charity’s Puffarazzi project was launched in 2017 in the hope of discovering the reason behind the birds’ population changes.

The bird charity is now asking people to look through old photo albums for pictures taken of puffin colonies

It's hoped families will have pictures of the birds whilst on holiday across the country.

Scientists will be able to use the images to compare how food availability has changed over time for the birds.
