Zumba teacher is feeling the burn through lockdown

But her latest production was just 20 metres from her own doorstep.

The mum from Elmwood Drive, Penwortham, has started zumba classes in her front street to help neighbours get some much-needed exercise during the Covid lockdown.

The former professional dancer, who once appeared in summer season with Danny La Rue, put a note through locals’ doors to drum up interest and the response was “incredible.”

“I didn’t think anyone would come out, but as soon as I put the music on loads of people appeared. I was blown away. We insisted everyone obeyed the social distancing rules and we all had a great time. Now I’m doing them every week.”

Louise, who is a zumba teacher and also runs dance classes in school, added: “It’s been really positive. It’s added to the community spirit.”
