Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, has revealed that he has coronavirus.

The 41-year-old said he was tested for the virus after following medical advice.

He said: "Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I’m working from home and self-isolating.

"Vital we follow the advice to protect our NHS and save lives."

Earlier today, Prime Minister Boris Johnson made an address to the nation via Twitter after revealing that he has tested positive for the disease.

He said: "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.

The Prime Minister was tested in Number 10 after experiencing mild symptoms on Thursday.
