The whole of Lancashire is now under extra coronavirus restrictions as several parts of the county continue to see a rise in the number of new Covid-19 cases.

When the local lockdown measures were extended to Blackpool at the weekend, health chiefs said most infections were due to households mixing - rather than the arrival of tourists - and reported particular spikes in the north of the resort.
