Over 90 COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Lancashire in one week
A total of 1,929 people have now died in hospital in Lancashire after contracting Covid-19.
The latest figures from NHS England show 92 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in Lancashire from Tuesday, December 15 to Tuesday, December 22.
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recorded 19 fatalities, East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust recorded 31, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recorded 25 and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust recorded 17.
The statistics include patients who died in hospital - but not other places, such as care homes.

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust - 578
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 480
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust* - 364
* Note: As well as the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, this trust also runs two hospitals outside Lancashire - Furness General Hospital, in Barrow, and Westmorland General Hospital, in Kendal - so it is not possible to say how many of the deaths were in Lancashire.
