Happy House in School Lane, near the junction with Golden Hill Lane, posted the announcement on their Facebook page yesterday evening (Monday, January 18).

It has not confirmed whether any of its staff have tested positive for Covid-19, but said they had been in close contact with a customer who has the virus.

As a precaution, staff will be self-isolating for the recommended 10 days and the takeaway will remain shut for at least two weeks.

Management are also urging any recent customers, particularly those over the weekend, to self-isolate or to get tested as a precaution.

Management at the takeaway said: "A customer has informed us that they have tested positive for COVID-19, therefore for the safety of all of our staff and customers, we will be closing the takeaway down for two weeks or until further notice.

"This is to allow everyone here enough time to self-isolate and prevent a further spread of the virus during the self-isolation period (of 10 days).
