Chorley Sea Cadets seek help as crisis hits fund raising work

The group, which has been unable to fund raise during the pandemic, says the crisis has put a stop to vital funding for the charity.

In a Facebook posting the cadets said: “This is an appeal for donations, I know at the moment we are in difficult and worrying times.

“Sea Cadets Chorley has been part of the Chorley community for over 50 years.

“During the Covid19 crisis we are unable to fundraise and have no source of income to pay our bills. We would be grateful for any donation large or small. This would ensure us to be able to reopen and continue.”

Across the UK, 14,500 Sea Cadets (aged 10-18 years) in 400 units take part in nautical adventure every week.

They learn valuable life skills and earn useful qualifications helping them to get a head start in life.
