Temporary road closures as part of UCLan masterplan work

Motorists, clusits and pedestrians planning to navigate the area around the University of Central Lancashire face route changes.

Works will be carried out to install speed cushions and carry out some highways works in Victoria Street starts on Tuesday May 26 and will last for four days, with the road closed for up to three days depending on how work progresses.

Contractors Balfour Beatty will be carrying out more work in nearby Harrington Street which will mean closing that road jsut on May 26.

During the work, motorists are being asked to use the official diversion routes via Aqueduct Street.

The highways scheme complements the university’s £60 million Student Centre and new civic square, a key part of its £200 million Campus Masterplan.
