Sam delight at award success

A Lancashire teacher has scooped a national award from his union.

Sam Ud-din was named regional officer of the year at the National Union of Teachers at the annual conference

Sam is Lancaster, Morecambe and District Secretary and Lancashire Division Secretary for the union and was described as “well 
respected.”

Besides being county and district secretary, Sam has been a long-standing science teacher at Morecambe Community High School.

NUT general secretary Kevin Courtney said: “ The Representative and Officer of the Year Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the brilliant contribution made to the NUT by school and college reps and local officers.”
