Outdoors proves a great classroom

Reception class youngsters from AKS have been having a geography lesson with a difference.

They used the grounds of Lytham Hall as an outdoor classroom, learning about the different trees and shrubs.

The children soon spotted lots of oak trees and collected handfuls of acorn and using only natural objects found in the woods such as sticks, moss, leaves and pinecones they set about designing a hedgehog and a squirrel.
