Meghna is a real spelling bee
When it comes to words Lytham youngster Meghna Shajil is never lost for them '“ in either English or French.
The AKS scholar has beaten off competition from a staggering 75,000 others to win through to the finals of the national Spelling Bee contest.
The event, being held at Anglia Ruskin University on July 1, will see year seven pupils from all over the UK pitting their language skills against each other.
The Year Sevens with a love of languages from all over the country were given 200 words to learn in their chosen language, either French, German or Spanish.
The winner of the Routes ti Languages National Spelling Bee will be the one who can translate then spell the most words in one minute.

Meghna won though school and regional heats to get to the final and will be one of just 108 finalists at the university’s Cambridge campus.
A total of 580 schools have taken part this year.
