Well over half of all subject entries for the 151 Upper Sixth students were awarded A or A* grades (56 per cent), and almost a quarter of all subject entries received the top A* grade (23 per cent).

Headmaster Dr Chris Pyle said: “I am delighted to be able to congratulate our students and teachers on these excellent results.

“They are just rewards for our students’ hard work and determination, and reflect the outstanding teaching which is the hallmark of the school.”

He added: “It is excellent to see student success across the whole range of the curriculum: arts, technology, humanities, languages, sciences and mathematics.”
