Les Miserables is showstopper for Penwortham school production
Two separate casts, made up entirely of pupils, have spent weeks preparing for the blockbuster, taking to the stage on alternate nights.
Opening night saw a packed audience glued to their seats as the young thespians took them on a journey through 19th century France, following the intertwining stories of a host of characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution.

Artistic director Lavinia Colclough is helped by a production team of more than 60. The sell out show runs till Friday night.
