Everyone is a winner at Scarisbrick School

Despite the uncertainty over results, pupils at Scarisbrick Hall School were on top form when they opened their A Level results.

The school, near Southport, celebrated a 100 per cent pass rate and overall 85 per cent of grades were at the top A* - B.

Over 60 per cent of the grades were at A*/A . All of the pupils gained places at the universities of their choice and staff said they were delighted to share their fantastic achievement.

Among the high fliers were Harry Simpson who achieved four grades at A*/A and will be studying economics at Leeds.

Chloe Burgess also got four A*\A grades and will be taking up her place at Durham. as did Charlotte Moran who is taking up a place at Lancaster University to study medicine.

A spokesman said: "All of the staff at Scarisbrick Hall want to congratulate our pupils and celebrate the incredible hard work that they have put in.

Although the results day has been unusual this year it should not take away from the hard work, determination and resilience that all of our pupils have shown."
