Members of the public were invited to vote online to give their local school a chance to win – and Lancaster Lane come out on top.

The school was presented with three Mediclinic Dual Flow hand dryers and a bountiful supply of toilet rolls, soap and mini jumbo toilet roll, all the essentials which you would have for your bathroom

Tom Rushton at CNM Online said: “Schools have a central place in the health of a community yet inadequate hygiene is a real problem at many.

“Germs and illness are very often spread through schools and taken home, resulting in absence for students and days off work for many parents.

“The importance of good hygiene is of course an educational matter, but it helps if schools are properly equipped with functional and easy to use products.”
