Andrew Glossop, a 52-year-old television technician and Lisa Horth, a 49-year-old patient care co-ordinator, met just over a year ago.

Andrew lived in Stockport while Lisa lived in Blackpool and, both with older teenage children, initially decided to rent together in Bolton as it was midway between their two lives.

However, as time went on, the two families came to the decision that there was no need to be living in the middle.

What was of far greater importance was finding a new home to put their own stamp on and start a new chapter of their lives together.

“We both have older teenage children,” Andrew explains, “so obviously having plenty of guest rooms was important but having the well laid-out downstairs space to have everyone relaxing over dinner time – and a garden for warmer evenings – was essential too.”

The process of buying couldn’t have been simpler for the couple.

“The Miller team really were so helpful,” says Lisa. “Right from the first day we visited the development, from choosing our plot, to move in day and beyond – we’ve had help on hand every step of the way.

“This has just been really reassuring when you’re making such a big life change like buying for the first time together in a new location.”
